Gather Your Tools:

Grab new strings, wire cutters, a peg winder, tuner, and a clean cloth.

Loosen Old Strings:

Use the peg winder to loosen the old strings until they're floppy.

Remove Old Strings:

Take off the old strings carefully, unwinding from the tuning pegs.

Clean Up:

Wipe your guitar clean with a cloth to get rid of dirt.

Start with Thickest String:

Attach the ball end of the new string to the bridge (acoustic) or tailpiece (electric).

Thread and Secure:

Pull the other end through the tuning peg, wind it a few times with the peg winder, and make sure it's snug.

Guide through Nut:

Thread the string through the nut slot, keeping it in place.
